MERIT AWARDS

Awards and Recognition of Positive Behaviour

At Hunter Sports High School a tiered system of awards is used across the whole-school; classroom, sporting field and playground:

• Commendation awards are issued by teachers and mentors for effort, achievement, acceptable behavior, sportsmanship and good citizenship.

• Students can take 5 Commendation Awards to Student Service Office to receive a Merit Certificate Level I.

• When students receive a further 5 Commendation Awards they take these to Student Service Office and a Merit Certificate Level II is awarded.

• When students receive a further 5 Commendation Awards they take these to Student Service Office and a Merit Certificate Level III is awarded.
