SICK STUDENTS

Hunter Sports High School provides a safe and healthy place for students’ education and enjoyment. Students that are sick should not be sent to school. In the event a student becomes sick at school they will be sent to the Clinic and closely monitored. If the student is too sick to return to class, a parent or caregiver will be notified and arrangements for the student to go home will be made.

In the event of a more serious illness or accident, the school will contact an ambulance. After the primary care of the student has been addressed, the school will contact the parent/caregiver informing them of the incident and outcome.

A letter addressed to the school must be produced and handed to the Roll Call Teacher or Student Service Office if a student is absent from school for any form of sickness or personal leave. These letters are retained by the school and noted on the student’s record.
